Pretty much the definition of a dream come true. My talk about Why Tuesday I gave at TEDActive was played on the main stage at TED in Long Beach yesterday. Thanks so much to Chris Anderson, Kelly Stoetzel, Nick Weinberg and the entire TED team. Photo via TED on Flickr.

Was on FOX News this morning talking about Why Tuesday. I discuss traveling by horse-and-buggy with host Jonathan Hunt. And it was really nice out in L.A., which you can see behind me. Watch for those bits, if not for a keen desire to improve American democracy.
Cool news! I’ve been selected to take the main stage at TED Active next week in Palm Springs to give a talk about the work we do to increase American voter turnout at Why Tuesday. The title of my talk is “Why Vote Tuesday? We Shouldn’t.” I hope to see you there Tuesday February 28th at 9:30AM.
Late last year I was asked to travel to Phoenix to speak at TEDxPhoenix. The topic of the day’s speeches was “Ask _____ For A Change,” and of couse I filled in the blank with the word “Why” as a starting point to discuss the work we have done at Why Tuesday? to increase American voter participation. I’ll be giving a follow-up talk later this month at TEDActive in Palm Springs.
Just did an interview about Why Tuesday? at FOX News in L.A. — will let you know when it’ll air. (Taken with instagram)

Welcome to those of you who found your way here after hearing my interview with Michel Martin on NPR’s Tell Me More today. This video is the short film that was played on-air during our chat.
I teamed up with Participant Media’s TakePart.com and hit the road to track down 2012 GOP presidential candidates Romney, Gingrich and Santorum to ask them how they’d protect your right to vote.
Watch my journey then join Why Tuesday? and our movement by signing our petition to move Election Day to the weekend so more people can vote.
